AIM-AHEAD West Hub and UCLA Health IT Research Informatics
You’re invited to join the AIM-AHEAD West Hub & Awardee Showcase with Christian Cabunag and Dr. Yun “Sherry” Wang on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 2 - 3 p.m. Central Time via Zoom. During this session, Christian will highlight the AIM-AHEAD West Hub, housed at UCLA and supported by the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy, which advances research, training, and community partnerships in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Additionally, we will showcase the work of one of our AIM-AHEAD awardees, Dr. Wang, who will present her research on Algorithmic Opacity in Opioid Risk Scoring and the Need for Transparent AI Regulation in Healthcare, exploring the broader implications of AI in clinical decision-making.
